خلاصه يا چکيده : ‭70 - Bullous pemphigoid and pemphigus vulgaris are autoimmune vesiculobullous diseases. Autoantibodies are responsible for pathogenesis of these diseases, resulting in complement activation and finally infiltration of neutrophils. These cells then produce inflammatory mediators such as reactive oxygen species (ROS) which seem to play a crucial role in disease progression. Relation between these diseases and Protein carbonyl s level, as a general representative of protein oxidation, and total antioxidant capacity has not been fully evaluated so far. Methods: Number of Patients:Fifteen cases of bullous pemphigoid and pemphigus vulgaris who were visited at or admitted to Ghaem or Emam reza general hospitals and fulfilled the inclusion criteria were studied in this study. Control group was containing of people who did not suffered from these diseases or other systemic diseases. Cases and controls were then visited and 10 cc venous bloodsample was withdrawn by an expert nurse. Blood samples were centrifuged and sera were separated and stored at‬░‭oxidant capacity of samples taken from patients were significantly lower than those of controls (p<0.05). Conclusion:This study shows the pathogenesis of pemphigus vulgaris and bullous pemphigoid may be associated with oxidative stress.
