خلاصه يا چکيده : ‭square test.Results: children `s average age was 0.35-test and q-Introduction: functional chronic abdominal pain is common in childhood and early adolescence. Although this pain is benign, it causes child anxiety, absenteeism from school and multiple doctor visits. The aim of this study was to evaluate the probiotics effect in children`s chronic abdominal pain.Methods: in this randomized, double blind, controlled trail, 52 children with inclusion criteria were entered. They have received Probiotics or placebo for 4 weeks. The symptoms and function statues of two groups were compared. Statistical analyses were performed by SPSS software by the usage of T‬▒‭7.11 years, and 25 children (48 ) were female and 27 (52 ) were male. Parents believed that the severity of pain was reduced significantly in Probiotics group in all 4 weeks. (p<0.05) none of the children experienced increase in the severity of abdominal pain after probiotics usage. Severity of abdominal pain was reduced in Probiotics group in the third and forth weeks. (P=0.001, P=0.003) 13 children in probiotics group and 4 children in placebo had better function in the third weeks and this differences was significant. (P=0.011) this trend continued in the fourth week, also. (P=0.001).Conclusion: Probiotics could reduce the severity and frequency of abdominal pain in children and lead to better function.‬
